Anionic PAM Powder For Wastewater Pretreatment

Anionic PAM is a type of high efficiency flocculant in pretreatment process for anionic powder wastewater treatment.

PAM powder wastewater agent is more economical than anionic PAM wastewater emulsion and wastewater PAM product is a high content of anionic powder wastewater product.

Our factory could produce customized anionic PAM wastewater products according to the specific request of the wastewater PAM,such as anionic charge, molecular weight.

Anionic powder wastewater agent is a kind of white crystalline powder, which could be packed by 25Kg/bag with or without pallet.

Aninoic PAM wastewater product could be used for sewage, oily sludge and wastewater treatment.

When anionic PAM wastewater polyacrylamide (anionic PAM) powder is used in combination with other flocculants such as inorganic coagulants, cationic PAM, and coagulant aids, the core goal is to enhance the flocculation effect through "synergistic effects", like accelerating the formation rate of flocs, increasing the floc particle size, and improving the sedimentation or flotation efficiency. Meanwhile, "antagonistic effects" should be avoided, such as the mutual destruction of agents and the cancellation of effects.

The following principles should be followed when using anionic powder wastewater agent and others in combination:

 1. Agent Type Matching: Synergy Based on Charge and Action Mechanism, the charge properties and action mechanisms of different flocculants vary significantly. It is necessary to select a suitable combination according to the charge characteristics of pollutants in the sewage, for example, whether the colloidal particles are positively or negatively charged, to avoid charge repulsion or overlapping of functions.

2. Dosage Sequence: Follow the Reaction Logic of "Destabilization First, Then Bridging",the dosage sequence of PAM powder wastewater agents directly affects the synergistic effect. It is necessary to strictly follow the sequence of "first exerting charge neutralization or destabilization effects, and then exerting bridging effects" to prevent the premature mixing from causing the agents to lose their effectiveness. Add inorganic coagulant first, then  anionic PAM: If the sequence is reversed (add PAM powder wastewater agent first), anionic PAM will preferentially adsorb onto the non destabilized colloidal particles. However, since the particles are still negatively charged (repelling the negative charge of APAM), effective flocs cannot be formed, which instead wastes the agent.

When mixing with coagulant aids: Coagulant aids that adjust the water quality, such as lime, need to be added before the inorganic coagulant. For example, add lime first to adjust the pH to 6-9, then add PAC, and finally add  anionic PAM. Coagulant aids that enhance viscosity, like activated silica, can be added simultaneously with anionic powder wastewater PAM or slightly later to assist in strengthening the bridging effect.

Prohibit "direct mixing and dissolving of PAM powder wastewater PAM":

Different agents have different dissolution rates and conditions. For example, inorganic coagulants dissolve quickly while anionic PAM dissolves slowly. Directly mixing the PAM powder wastewater agent will cause agglomeration (the so called "fish-eyes"), and chemical reactions may occur at high concentrations. For instance, long term contact between iron salts and anionic PAM may oxidize the molecular chain. Therefore, they need to be dissolved into solutions separately and then added in sequence.
