Cationic polyacrylamide (emulsion flocculant), also named polyacrylamid flocculant, which is used for dewatering in refineries or STP.
Cationic polyacrylamide flocculant is a emulsion substance made from acrylamide copolymerize with DMC or DMC.
The form of product is emulsion flocculant which the strcture of molecular is cross linked polyacrylamide.
The polyacrylamide with cross linked polyacrylamide's chemical formula is (C3H5NO)n and The polyacrylamide with cross linked polyacrylamide's appearance is white emulsion.
The content of cationic polyacrylamide is 48%, the molecular weight is 15~30,the specific granvity is 1.0 and the pH value (1 % aqueous solution) is 6.5~7.5.
The emulsion flocculant with cross linked polyacrylamide has a good filtration in the dewatering.
The packing group of polyacrylamide flocculant is IBC tank and 25kg/drum.
Cross linked Polyacrylamide (Cationic) is a polymer with a three-dimensional network structure formed through a cross-linking reaction based on Cationic Polyacrylamide flocculant(CPAM). Its characteristics combine the charge properties of cationic groups with the physical properties of the cross linked polyacrylamide structure, and it has unique advantages in fields such as water treatment and oilfield development.
The specific characteristics are as follows:
1. Three-dimensional Network Structure, Higher Mechanical Strength and Stability
The cross-linking reaction connects linear polyacrylamide molecular chains through covalent or ionic bonds to form a three-dimensional network structure. Compared with non-cross-linked linear CPAM, its shear-resistance performance is significantly improved. It is not prone to molecular chain breakage in working conditions with high-speed stirring and high flow rates (such as oilfield sewage pipelines, fracturing fluid circulation systems), and has a longer service life.
Enhanced Temperature and Salt Resistance: The network structure reduces the molecular chain entanglement or degradation in high-temperature (for example, the temperature of deep - well sewage in oilfields can reach 60 - 120℃) and high - salt (containing a large amount of Na⁺, Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, etc.) environments, making it suitable for complex and harsh oilfield sewage conditions.
2. Efficient Charge Neutralization and Adsorption of Cationic Groups
The cationic groups (such as quaternary ammonium salt groups) introduced into the molecular chain carry a positive charge, which can quickly adsorb negatively-charged colloidal particles in oilfield sewage (such as crude oil emulsions, clay particles, bacterial debris, etc.). Through charge neutralization, it destroys the stability of the colloid and promotes flocculation and sedimentation. Compared with non - ionic or anionic polyacrylamide, it has a better demulsification and oil - removal effect on oily sewage, especially suitable for treating oil - field produced water with high oil content and high suspended solids.
3. Coarse and Dense Flocs, Fast Sedimentation Speed
The molecular chains of the three - dimensional network structure have a larger specific surface area and steric hindrance effect. During the flocculation process, through the "bridging effect", multiple colloidal particles can be connected into larger and denser flocs, reducing the water content of the flocs, accelerating the sedimentation speed, and improving the solid-liquid separation efficiency. The formed flocs have strong anti-fragmentation ability and are not easy to redisperse in subsequent treatments (such as filtration, centrifugation), reducing the turbidity and oil content of the effluent.
