The production of anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) powder is mainly achieved through the aqueous solution polymerization process. In this process, acrylamide (AM) and anionic monomers (such as acrylic acid) are polymerized under the action of an initiator, and then processed through procedures such as granulation, drying, and pulverization to obtain a powdery product. Compared with emulsion polymerization, the aqueous solution polymerization process is more mature, and the product has a higher molecular weight (which can reach over 20 million), making it suitable for large - scale industrial production.
