Chemical polydadmac products is synthesized from the monomer of diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DMDAAC), and polydadmac synthesis is usually synthesized through the reaction of dimethylamine, allyl chloride, etc.   

Chemical polydadmac for oil treatment is in the pre-dehydration agent in the first step for  crude treatment. Its demulsification principle is the charge neutralization effect and the adsorption bridging principle when using polydadmac for crude use.

The synergy mechanism of polydadmac for crude use with other chemical agents varies depending on the agents it is combined with.


The main synergy mechanisms are produced with the following products: 

--Polydadmac synthesis synergy with polyaluminium chloride (PAC);

--Chemical polydadmac products synergy with cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM); 

--Chemical polydadmac for oil treatment synergy with organosilicon surfactants;

--Polydadmac as a demulsifier in oilfield synergy with cationic demulsifiers;

Apart from functioning as a demulsifier in crude treatment, polydadmac synthesis product has many functions for use in water treatment processes.

The core requirements of Polydadmac as a demulsifier in oilfield extraction (drilling fluid treatment, water shutoff and profile control, oil displacement agent) is to stabilize the performance of drilling fluids, block formation pores, and increase crude oil recovery. 

Drilling Fluid Filtrate Reducer: Select medium to high molecular weight (300,000-1,000,000 Da). The molecular chain of chemical polydadmac products can adsorb on the surface of clay particles, forming a protective film to reduce the leakage of drilling fluid into the formation. 

At the same time, it needs to be salt - resistant (formation water contains high salt content), and medium molecular weight products of chemical polydadmac products have better salt resistance (high - molecular - weight products are prone to salting - out and precipitation). 

Water Shutoff and Profile Control: Select high molecular weight (> 1,000,000 Da). In high - permeability formations, the long chains can form a gel - like structure through bridging, blocking the water - flow channels and forcing the crude oil to flow to low - permeability areas. Oil Displacement Agent (to improve crude oil mobility): Select low molecular weight (< 100,000 Da). Small molecules can easily penetrate into the pores of the oil reservoir, adsorb on the rock surface through cationic charges (reducing crude oil adsorption), reduce the viscosity of crude oil, and improve its mobility.
