Demulsifier compositions is a product which is formed by the block polyether of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. Demulsifier additive for oily sludge, especially fast acting emulsion breaker has a unique function in dehydration. Demulsifier compositions for crude dehydration with different parameters depend on the block polyether of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide.

Cross linked phenolic amine block polyether demulsifieradditive for oily sludge is mainly applied to demulsification and dehydration in crude oil extraction and gathering transportation. 

During crude oil extraction, especially for heavy oil and high water cut crude oil, formation water and injected water form stable W/O emulsions with crude oil, with a water content that can reach 30%-80%. It is necessary to remove water to reduce transportation energy consumption and avoid equipment corrosion. 

The cross linked structure of demulsifier compositions enables it to maintain activity under high-temperature (60-120℃), high salinity (mineralization degree > 10⁴ mg/L) and high shear (pipeline transportation) conditions, making it suitable for harsh scenarios such as offshore oilfields and heavy oil thermal recovery. 

Meanwhile, it has a fast acting emulsion breaker demulsification speed (30-60 minutes), a dewatering rate of over 90%, and the water content of the dehydrated crude oil is less than 0.5%, meeting the transportation standard. 

In oil containing wastewater such as oilfield produced water and operational wastewater, the oil exists in the form of O/W emulsions (oil droplet particle size < 10μm), and traditional treatment methods (such as oil separation and flotation) are difficult to achieve complete separation. As a demulsifier additive for oily sludge, the cross linked phenolic amine block polyether can disrupt the emulsification film on the surface of oil droplets, causing small oil droplets to aggregate into large ones. Then, combined with processes such as coagulation and filtration, the oil content can be reduced to less than 5 mg/L, meeting the discharge standard. 

The demulsifier compositions for crude dehydration has strong adaptability to polymer containing (such as polyacrylamide) flooding production wastewater and can break the composite emulsion formed by the polymer and oil simultaneously.
